TTS Group Joins V8 Supercar Team 18 for a Full Year in 2015

We are proud to announce a full 2015 season sponsorship deal signed with Charlie Schwerkolt, owner of the #18 V8 Supercar team powered by Holden’s Walkinshaw Racing with driver Lee Holdsworth at the helm.

Charlie Schwerkolt, Team Owner said “I am absolutely thrilled to have TTS Group on board for the full 2015 season. TTS joined Team 18 during the Pirtek Enduro Cup at the Gold Coast 600 last year and I am really excited to have them join us for the entirety of the year. The whole team is hungry for strong results and we are really excited to welcome TTS to become a part of our family and share our success. It really is going to be a sensational year with a brand new team, new car and new driver.” said Charlie.

There’s a lot of history between TTS Group, Lee Holdsworth and Charlie Schwerkolt. Marc Mrsic, Managing Director of TTS Group, says “This is a really exciting time for TTS Group and the direction our company is heading in Australia.”

The Australian arm of our business is growing steadily in a tough market and we saw the opportunity to jump on bard with Lee and Charlie as a great supplement to our marketing and business model. There’s a great fit for motor racing within our business and its relevance to our profession.

Marc went on to say “I’ve actually known Lee since he was a young high school lad when I was working my first job with his Dad’s (Glen Holdsworth) traffic engineering company more than 20 years ago. I was also employed and in business with Lee’s Dad for many years until I started TTS Group back in 2010 over in Singapore, so I owe him as a mentor and for an awesome career, as in essence he was my first and last boss, thanks heaps Glen!”

V8 Supercars is Australia’s leading touring car racing category. This year there are 15 rounds of races spread all across the entire country, including one round over in Auckland New Zealand.

Lee Holdsworth, team driver of the #18 V8 Supercar said “It’s fantastic to have TTS Group onboard the #18 car this year. It’s funny how small this world is… I’ve actually known Marc Mrsic for a long time. I remember cleaning his office and emptying his trash when he worked for my Dad as a cadet engineer some 20 years ago! He now owns TTS Group, a successful Traffic Engineering business and will no doubt share some success with us on the track this year too.”

TTS Group aims to bring you a short ‘race wrap’ summary after each round to help you stay in tune with the team’s results. Please subscribe by the following link to receive the eStreet Race Wrap.
